Mwnt Beach

At the mouth of the River Teifi Gwbert has some magnificent
views out towards Cardigan Island and Poppit Sands.
There is no beach as such but its nice just to sit back,
relax and take in beautiful view's across the bay.

With its safe sandy beach the little cove of Mwnt is ideal for the
children to swim and play. Access to the beach is via steps,
a small cafe and shop is open throughout the summer season.
The area around Mwnt is National Trust with ample
car parking, tickets from a machine.

15th Century Church at Mwnt
If you don't fancy the beach try the cliff walk's, here again you have
magnificent views out towards Cardigan Island and Cardigan Bay
with it's Dolphins and Seals.
The church at Mwnt dates back to the early 1400's, standing on the
site of a old Celtic church from where pilgrims left to travel
to Bardsey Island on the Lleyn Peninsula some 40 miles northwest
across Cardigan Bay. The church is open to visitors most days (free).

From Cardigan take the B4548 to Gwbert, after going through
Gwbert head for Y Ferwig (you pass Cardigan Island Farm on your
left) after a mile or so you pick up signs for Mwnt. These roads are
very narrow so take care or you'll be making love to a "John Dere"
